How was 2018 for Supercell, and what's up for 2019
any of our players, partners and the community general have been eager to hear a bit more about what we are up to here at Supercell. We’ve never been very big on PR – we rather focus on creating the best possible games - but I thought that perhaps in the spirit of openness I would try writing a short blog post to share a bit what happened in 2018 and what we look for this year. Please let me know if this was useful, and if so, I will write this again next year :)
When 2018 started, the last time we had launched a new game was in 2016 when had launched Clash Royale. We had had Brawl Stars in Beta and were of course hoping that to make it to the global launch. Given that it had been such a long time since our last launch, everyone was very eager to get it out. I guess there was even some pressure to do so. Which is why I am so proud that the Brawl Stars took their time to get the game where they wanted it to be from quality perspective, before then finally launching it on December xxth. This is how we all want Supercell operate: we should only release games that we feel are the best possible experiences for our players and games that we ourselves are proud of.
