
Character Concept Artist, Project R.I.S.E

We are looking for a passionate and experienced concept artist to join our Shanghai Studio.
Your focus will be on developing new concepts for the Project R.I.S.E with Clash IP. The primary responsibility in this role will be creating concept art for both new enemies and heroes skins.

As a Supercell concept artist, you'll collaborate closely with designers and other artists, transforming creative ideas into an exciting vision.

Responsibilities
Concept new enemies and hero skins for the project that align with the overall game and art vision.
Craft detailed concept art for production artists
Collaborate with artists both within and outside the team by providing and receiving feedback.
Collaborate closely with 3D artists to ensure concepts transition smoothly into production.
Communicate characters' personalities and emotions through the character design
Create key art for characters’ marketing images
Requirements
Portfolio demonstrating high-quality, stylized character concept work
An ability to create functional character designs for games, and understand that art has gameplay implications and addresses visual challenges within the constraints of game design
Deep involvement in at least one game with stylized art direction
Strong understanding of Supercell IPs’ art styles
Proactive doer who takes responsibility and pride in their own work when given the freedom to work independently
Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills
Ability to communicate in English is a plus
Being a great teammate - we believe making games is a team sport
Passionate about (mobile) games
Nice to Have
Ability to work with different art styles
Experience with 3D software
