Our Entertainment & Partnerships (E&P) team is building a long-term entertainment capability to attract new fans and deepen the love of existing ones through content and licensing partnerships.

As a key member of this team, we are seeking a Licensing Director to support in the day-to-day management of our licensing agents, brand collaborations, and direct partners, to ensure the successful development and execution of consumer products and experiences for Supercell’s portfolio of gaming IP.

Key areas of focus will include partner outreach, account management, product development, business reviews, competitive analysis, and presentation development.

Responsibilities:

• STRATEGY: partner in developing our global licensing strategy
• DEALS: negotiate deal terms and contracts for high-profile direct deals
• AGENCIES: partner with our agents to develop go-to-market strategies by region, and ensure they have the visibility they need for sell-in
• PARTNERSHIPS: drive and execute Licensing, Experiences, Promotional Partnerships and Brand Collaborations to deliver maximum impact for our brands
• EVENTS: attend and provide strategic direction for our presence at trade shows, partner summits, and other industry events
• FRANCHISE MATERIALS: develop presentations and other documents that support our agents and licensees, such as business updates and pitch materials
• PIPELINE: build and maintain a robust forward-looking pipeline for future opportunities with licensees, developers, retailers, vendor partners, trade media and more
• INTERNAL COLLABORATION: partner with teams across Supercell to deliver results, from our Game Development teams, to Legal, Finance, Brand Marketing, Communications, and Community Management
• QUALITY: play a key role in helping ensure that our team is delivering awesome, high-quality products and experiences that delight our fans, elevate our brands, and inspire our colleagues

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Licensing experience with character-driven IP and strong knowledge of global licensing markets
• Prior licensing (corporate and entertainment), sales, marketing, advertising, or brand strategy experience
• Proven ability to create and sustain strong business relationships
• Strategic thinker who is unafraid to get their hands dirty
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Nice-to-have: experience in gaming industry, passion for gaming

Compensation and Benefits

While the salary range based on your background, skills, and experience for this position is $200k – $250k, your financial compensation model also consists of an annual bonus, RSU equity, and 401k.
