We are looking for a passionate and experienced systems designer to join our Shanghai Studio.
You will be working on Project R.I.S.E, our upcoming Action-RPG set in the Clash universe. You should be able to independently design new features and systems, and support their implementation, but the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in crafting and refining complex metagame systems, mechanics, and game balance to elevate the player experience.

As a systems designer at Supercell, you are responsible for making decisions about gameplay and mechanics, but will need to collaborate with game programmers, game artists and other designers to shape the overall product vision.

Responsibilities
Drive the vision for metagame and progression systems.
Design both gameplay & metagame features, with a focus on progression systems, economy & balance.
Define the monetisation & liveops strategy, and support its implementation.
Collaborate with other disciplines to follow your designs from initial documentation through to final in-engine polish.
Support the development of the game with any additional skills.
Requirements
At least 8 years of professional experience as a Systems/Economy Designer with a portfolio demonstrating experience on both new and live games.
Keen knowledge of game systems and economies across genres.
Advanced knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet software and experience using it to balance features and economy, manage data and track how changes affect gameplay
Ability to create models and tools to build, simulate, and analyse player behaviour/progression/economy.
Experience writing detailed design specifications for metagame systems with the ability to define data structures and tuning parameters.
Proactive doer who takes responsibility and pride in their own work when given the freedom to work independently
Strong cross-discipline communication skills
Being a great teammate - we believe making games is a team sport
Nice to Have
Experience modelling/maintaining complex economies (MMO, 4X, RPG)
Experience designing and balancing combat systems
Knowledge of Unreal Engine
