Corporate Communications & Public Affairs


Supercell is looking for an experienced communications & public affairs professional to join our Shanghai team. You have strong communications skills and you know the China media scene inside out. You feel comfortable working with all types of stakeholders including local & national government departments and officials. You have a proven track record of dealing with extensive corporate communications strategies and tactical executions.

You are part of the global Corporate Communications team with a key responsibility to drive day-to-day media and public relations in China, working closely with marketing, legal, recruitment, player support, and game teams, as well as with local external stakeholders. You will be a point of contact on government-related communication matters, helping to proactively manage any associated issues and mitigate risk. You will also act as an internal advisor for the global leadership team on China-related matters when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insight and knowledge to global corporate communication strategy
  • Execute strategic and tactical communications plans in China
  • Being the key information source for all Chinese media contacts requesting insights, feedback, or comments, i.e. answer all Chinese media inquiries
  • Identifying and building media relationships in the key focus areas of economics and gaming in China
  • Provide support and prepare Supercell spokespeople for media interviews and presentations
  • Track potential public matters and opportunities that may impact the organization
  • Understand and advice on the political and regulatory environment in China and provide counsel to the global leadership team for their reference in the business decision-making process
  • Provide counsel on government-related communication matters and enhance the overall branding of Supercell in China among related government departments

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with Corporate Communications; having Public Affairs experience is a big plus
  • Experience in a multi-national company
  • Strong background in Chinese media relations and issue/crisis management
  • Excellent language and communication skills (written and oral) both in Mandarin and English
  • Experience either in-house or on the agency side
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to your work
  • Passion for games, especially Supercell games
