Head of Franchise Strategy

Supercell’s games have been downloaded billions of times and are actively enjoyed by hundreds of millions of monthly players around the world. To aid in our company mission of having our games played by as many people as possible and remembered forever, we want to build durable, global franchises that can stand toe-to-toe with the most widely and deeply beloved franchises in the world.

Our Entertainment & Partnerships (E&P) team is building a long-term entertainment capability to both attract new fans and deepen the love of existing ones, through content and licensing partnerships. To that end, the E&P team is seeking a highly strategic thinker who can develop, drive and evangelize Franchise Strategy and Planning to help chart a course not only for all of E&P’s efforts, but all teams at Supercell that touch our franchises outside our games.


  • OVERALL: Creative thinker and enthusiastic brand builder to ensure the longevity of our franchises
  • THINKING BIG: having huge dreams and figuring out how we start to build towards them
  • GLOBAL STRATEGY: drive global franchise strategies, long-range planning and consumer insights that focus on building brand equity and fan engagement for multiple audience segments
  • FIND OPPORTUNITIES: generate business opportunities around key activations and synchronized storytelling opportunities
  • EVANGELIZE: develop, maintain, and evangelize franchise materials (roadmaps, pitch decks, etc) with external partners and other internal teams at Supercell
  • PLANNING: initiate and coordinate global release strategies and campaigns
  • RESEARCH & MEASUREMENT: work with internal Research / Data Science counterparts as well as external Market Research partners to convert insights into strategy, set goals/benchmarks, measure success, track franchise health and better understand players and fans
  • IDENTITY: develop brand identity/hierarchy, style guides, brand essence and pillars, etc
  • COMMS: lead strategy for franchise comms and social channels; partner with PR and Marketing teams


  • At least 10 years experience with Franchise Strategy & Planning on at least one global, mass family / four-quadrant entertainment franchise
  • Deep knowledge of brand management: consumer targeting, insights, brand positioning, portfolio management, product life cycles, retail sales and brand licensing
  • Experience with film or TV
  • Experience with licensed consumer products
  • Robust industry network with a broad circle of contacts
  • Direct animation experience
  • Experience with brand collaborations, location-based experiences, CPG/QSR partnerships
  • Experience with launching NEW franchises
  • Ability to think and dream BIG and inspire others to believe
  • Entrepreneurial; comfortable operating with minimal direction
  • Adaptable and versatile
  • Excellent relationship manager
