In the role of Merch Production Manager at Supercell, you will be an integral member of the Community Experiences Team, focusing on enhancing players' love for our brands through engaging and captivating merchandise. Your role will be centered around creating memorable experiences for players and fans by designing and delivering high-quality merch for fan events, esports, giveaways, and community activations. Working collaboratively with various teams, you will lead the ideation, production, and distribution of a diverse range of items, from plushies and t-shirts to mugs, figurines, stickers, and many more.
Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning and execution of merchandise projects, primarily focusing on enhancing community engagement and fostering brand affinity.
Collaborate closely with the Esports, Events, and Community teams to align merchandise initiatives with overall community experience goals.
Collaborate closely with the Licensing team to ensure differentiation from retail-based product assortments, as well as utilize existing licensees as an alternative partner for sourcing.
Create a comprehensive merchandise strategy that aligns with our brand identity and resonates with our gaming community.
Manage a substantial budget ensuring efficient allocation and cost-effective production of merchandise.
Utilize your extensive knowledge of the merchandise industry and vendor landscape to source and collaborate with the best-suited manufacturers and factories.
Work in tandem with Community Managers to gather community feedback, preferences, and insights, contributing to the creation of merchandise that truly resonates with our players, creators, and competitors.
Drive the end-to-end merchandise creation process, from conceptualization and design to production, distribution, sourcing, and warehousing.
Apply your independence, drive for success, and proactivity to dictate your own work priorities, ensuring maximum impact on community engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Development/Design, Merchandising, Sourcing/Production, and Supply Chains.
Strong project management skills and the ability to lead projects independently.
Extensive knowledge of merchandise trends, vendors, and production processes.
Creative mindset with a passion for gaming and the ability to create merchandise that resonates with the gaming community.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
