Localization Intern

Supercell is now offering a perfect chance for you, a future Project Manager / Manager, to get to know the world of localization and to take your first steps towards your dream career as a Localization Intern!
What will you be doing?
In this position you will be working closely with Supercell’s internal Localization team, internal game teams, and external Localization teams. Supercell’s goal is to expose you to a wide variety of localization and translation-related projects so you can understand what it is like to work as a Localization Manager or as a Project Manager in a company like Supercell.
As a Localization Intern at Supercell you will be helping and observing Supercell’s internal Localization team and the external Localization team’s Project Managers in their day-to-day operations. You will be exploring new tech solutions and solving various requests related to game texts, support materials, community texts, marketing campaigns, game subtitles, and scripts. Your specific tasks will be however assigned based on your skills and interests.
What makes you a great fit?
This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate from a language or translation background, or from a technical field (such as language technology, digital humanities, information technology) with a proven personal interest in localization – for example through personal projects, coursework, or research related to localization, machine translation, or LLMs. We hope you have at least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent) of studies done and you are curious to learn more about the localization and translation-related matters in a creative industry full of its own twists and turns. If you also love to ask questions and have a proactive, unprompted and communicative working style, this position is just right for you.
The previous intern in the position describes their experience as follows:
“My experience as a Supercell intern was amazing, and I can definitely recommend it to anyone interested in game translation and the localization industry! You will have a lot of influence over what you want to focus on, which makes this internship a great opportunity to explore both your interests within localization and take responsibility for a project of your own. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the translators and project managers, so your experience is not only limited to the work in the Helsinki office. Personally I found the aspect of localization I am passionate about here, and it has helped me to decide where to pursue a career after my internship. I truly enjoyed my experience, and the team made me feel welcome from the very first day!"
